ART WEEK- August 11th – 15th
This year we are trying something new to get your arty/crafty juices flowing. Instead of just having an art exhibition lined up for the week we are planning a full week of all the arty things you can possibly think of!! There will be a Graffiti wall, tattooing, the student art exhibition, out door movie, wearable arts and five million other things. If you would like to contribute to some of the art installation pieces we would like to have around the university please contact Jen jen.events@ousa.org.nz.
ART EXHIBITION
Throughout art week we will be holding the art exhibition, it’s an awesome opportunity to pick up some great pieces of art that you can afford before these people become famous. The work is varied and there is heaps of it. This is held on the mezzanine floor in the Link and we even play nice arty music for you as you take in the visual aura. No commission is taken and there are prizes awarded at the opening ceremony.

INSTRUCTIONS & DETAILS (please read carefully)
- Pieces need to be in the Link by 3pm Sunday 10th August.
- There is a $10 flat entry fee and each artist is allowed 10 pieces maximum.
- Entry forms must be handed into the OUSA office by 4:30pm Wednesday 6th August (No late entries will be accepted).
- To ensure your work is displayed correctly please make yourself available to help display your art.
- All work must be clearly labeled with its title, artist's name, phone number and price (money you want in the hand) on a removable piece of paper on the front of each piece of work. This makes it much easier for us to come around after everyone has left to make up the booklet, we don’t want to be unhanging each piece of work to have a look who owns it.
- All 2-D work must be mounted or framed.
- All artwork must be removed from the Mezzanine floor in the Link on Friday 15th August by 4pm. After this time OUSA accepts no responsibility for the storage of the artwork or for damaged or lost exhibits; however OUSA will make every effort to safeguard your item(s). This will include providing a curator throughout the duration of the Exhibition.
All artists are invited to the Opening of the Exhibition on Monday 11th August at 5pm in the link on the mezzanine. Complimentary drinks and nibbles will be available, let us know if you are bringing a friend.
