Class Representatives

The class representative system is an avenue for encouraging communication and consultation between staff and students. Class Reps help to resolve issues that affect the entire class (or many students) and give students the chance to give both positive and negative feedback on their courses.

How to become a Class Rep

Your lecturer should ask for Class Rep volunteers at the beginning of each semester and then pass on your details to the Class Rep Coordinator at the OUSA Student Support Centre. OUSA also organises a training session for all new Class Reps each semester.

Check out the Class Rep 101 Guide if you're a class rep or if you have any specific questions email the Class Rep Coordinator at classrep@ousa.org.nz
