About us:
Otago University Students Association (OUSA) is a not-for-profit organisation that has proudly served the University of Otago students for over 130 years. We are a passionate group of people providing services to the students while ensuring they have the best experience possible while studying here.
 
The Role:
Joining a vibrant team, this position will be responsible for communicating OUSA’s brand through engaging content across social channels. This position requires creativity and research to ensure the OUSA image stays relevant and available to our audiences.
This role offers the opportunity to market and/or collaborate with some of OUSA’s exciting brands and events such as the award-winning Dunedin Craft Beer and Food Festival, Orientation, Hyde Street and so much more.
 
Key responsibilities:
• Coordinate OUSA and sub-brand marketing across OUSA’s digital platforms
• Work collaboratively with the marketing team and other departments for digital content creation across all OUSA sites
• Run Advertising campaigns on Meta and Google systems
• Research, update and action on digital advertising trends
• Determine content types and trends, across appropriate channels for relevant campaigns
 
Our ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive experience and knowledge of digital marketing, content creation and website administration software
• A sound understanding of all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram & Tik Tok
• A high level of writing skills that is accurate and creative
• The ability to show initiative and remain constantly engaged with our target audience
• A sense of humour and a collaborative communication style
