ACADEMIC COMMITTEE DISCUSSION
Caitlin expressed concern that the Academic committee didn’t have people turning up to meetings and when she canvassed class rep’s etc with questions and a survey there was a far larger uptake. She is recommending that the Academic committee be dis-established and online be used in its place. She was concerned because of this she wasn’t meeting the requirements of her position description and portfolio.
It was agreed have class reps as we get to cover a good mix of subjects and get good feedback.
Caitlin will continue to collect information and gather feedback from students. it was agreed that Te Rōpū Maori and Pacific Island students are on these committees.
